Fall Weekends

Fall is officially in full swing.  The leaves are changing colors and the temperature is getting cooler.  This weekend definitely fell within this category.  It was chilly and cloudy, which is the perfect weather to curl up in your bed and watch some Netflix.  I accomplished this activity while taking breaks between doing my homework and studying.  Also, it was Harry Potter weekend on television.  This is one of my favorite marathons because I never get tired of watching Harry Potter even though I have seen every movie numerous times.

Also, this weekend I was able to finally attend an Ohio Northern University (ONU) football game.  One of my friends and I normally try to attend the home games.  Because of our busy schedules this semester, we have not been able to root on the polar bears lately.   It was a chilly game, but not terribly cold since the sun made an appearance for parts of the game.  ONU played Capital and ended up winning the game that was dedicated to bringing awareness to breast cancer.  Players and fans added pink to their clothes and jerseys in order to support and bring awareness to breast cancer.  I love watching football with people who also understand the game.  It is a fun and relaxing atmosphere for everyone involved.

Overall, fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  The weather is cool and the leaves are gorgeous.  Also, it is not fall without some football games and late movie nights.  I have to take advantage of being outside because the weather will become bitter real soon.  I am not ready for the snow and cold to come, but it is all part of living in Ohio.

I agree that the weather is now beginning to feel like fall. My drive back from my internship, in Lima has been very colorful this past week. I did notice the Harry Potter marathon this weekend, I think I've seen the full movies of each, but never in one sitting. I always catch half the movie and then watch the other half the next time that it is on ABC Family. Lastly, I completely understand where you are coming from with watching football with friends. Being a big football fan, it is definitely hard to watch games with people who don't really understand what is going on. It sounds like you had a nice and relaxing weekend!

  2. Celine- I must admit, I am a devoted Netflix fan and this weather doesn’t help my addiction! When the cold, gloomy days in Ada roll around, all I want to do is watch Netflix. It’s funny because I can stay up until 3 a.m. watching Netflix, but if I tried to do homework until then, I would be asleep by midnight. I’m glad you got to attend a football game this season! It was a good game to go to. Plus, with all the fall colors and trees changing, it was a beautiful day!
